Happy Birthday! Fun & Unique Party Ideas

Another year, another birthday! I don’t know about you, but my birthday is my favorite holiday after Christmas and Valentine’s Day of course! My friends tease me and say there is fool proof formula to throwing a party for me:

1. Pink

2. Tiara or Headband

3. Mini Cupcakes

4. French Fries

5. Glitter

So basic, right?!? Well this year, I was semi forced out of my comfort zone and we came up with a few cool variations to the above.

OK, so I mentioned how much I loved fresh cut French Fries. It is literally my FAVORITE food of all time. If I could eat this and only this forever…. I would have a permanent smile on my face! Back to the party...typically we search and search online and look at reviews for restaurants that have the best French Fries, book a reservation and have an amazing evening! Although the above has worked for many years. We decided this year to switch it up! Instead of going to a restaurant, my husband hired a private chef to come in and make a custom menu with exactly all the things I love! Let me just say.. this chef was AMAZING!! He started us off with 4 different French Fries. Parmesan Truffle, loaded crab, garlic, and sweet potato!!! Can we say best fries ever had?!?! Yesss, they were literally the best fries I’ve ever tasted!

Before appetizers we had amazing pink cocktails that I’m sorry to say were gone before we could even get good pictures! After we stuffed ourselves with fries and cocktails, we moved on to the main entree which was pan seared salmon & shrimp with whipped potatoes and asparagus!!! Literally every bite melted right in your mouth!! Not only was it tasty, but the presentation was beautiful!

After dinner, we gathered around so I could blow out my candles and sing Happy Birthday! Normally this would be the time where we bring out the cute mini cupcakes that are of course pink with sprinkles, but this year.. sticking with the theme of going outside of the box.. my husband ordered these AMAZING custom donuts from Bon Glaze. They were the cutest and tastiest donuts I’ve ever had, and everyone LOVED them! Coming after the night before where we reserved a private karaoke room and sang our hearts out well into the night (oddly we have NO pictures to document this… I think maybe we had too much champagne and just forgot! LOL) This dinner was exactly what I needed and was perfectly customized and made just for me! We feel like this birthday weekend embodies everything Mrs. All Pink Everything is… daring to be different and be a circle in a sea full of squares! Pun intended!
